Polish and Symmetry
The final two areas that are used to judge a diamond are Polish and Symmetry. Polish is essentially the
quality of the surface of the stone. Of all the factors involved in the creation of a finished diamond, polish relies most on the talent and
skill of the cutter - polishing a diamond is an art. Symmetry is a measure of how balanced and even a diamond's shape and facets are.
Polish and Symmetry are both
measured on a scale that ranges from Poor thru Excellent. We at Jewelryzone feel that any stones with a Polish or Symmetry below the Good level
are not suitable for fine jewelry and, as such, we do not list them. We are happy, however, to help a customer find such a stone if that is what
they are looking for.
